Walking safaris
Walking Safaris
are a Zambian specialty. It was in the Luangwa
Valley that walking safaris were first pioneered
by Norman Carr. There is no better way of getting
a close up view of the bush and feeling one with
it in harmony with your surroundings. On a walking
safari you will see all the intricate details,
the small insects, follow the spore and track
down a lion, smell and hear the sounds of the
bush without the noise and speed of a vehicle.
All walking safaris are conducted with a qualified
guide and an armed wildlife ranger who skilfully
keeps you safe whilst getting you as close to
the game as possible. Walks are gently paced and
usually last between 2 - 4 hours.
Namibia is also excellent for
walking safaris through the surreal
Salvador Dali landscape, over the worlds highest
sand dunes or tracking wild Rhino on foot with
'Save the Rhino' foundation experts.
