Busanga Bush Camp
This bush camp provides the ultimate
location for some of "the best lion viewing
in Africa".
The camp has four thatch huts
( 8 beds) with basic en-suite facilities, there
is a bar and dinning / lounge area. Set in the
remote North West of Kafue NP, in a unique flood
delta ecosystem on the edge of the open Busanga
grass Plains, this area provides the best 'Lion
country' in Zambia, indeed the lions here have
become famous for their 'tree climbing' abilities
as they try to gain better vantage points on the
flat terrain. Also this is a good area for Cheetah,
leopard and over 400 bird species. The camp is
set on an 'island' overlooking the plains in all
directions.
Location: In the north -western
sector of the Kafue National Park on the Busanga
flood plain
Accommodation: Eight guests
in four canvas roofed, thatched huts with open
air en suite hot and cold shower, bush toilet,
and basin.
Facilities: Large mess tent
with dining table, bar and lounge area
Activities: Day and night game
drives in open Landrovers.
Season: Mid June to November
