Set in a grove of Acacia trees on the banks of the Zambezi River, this is a beautiful site overlooking a maze of hippo inhabited islands where game grazes peacefully in front of you as you rest under the shade of a giant acacia. The immediate area around Old Mondoro Camp provides in my opinion some of the best Walking Safaris with a huge variety of game & bird life, especially some of the plains and open woodland species. Walking safaris are normally conducted in the mornings followed by Lunch, siesta in the heat of the day with a late afternoon & evening game drive and dinner around the camp fire.
